Merci Marina.
The cover picture sent by suz_i_dil is really pretty ( remember a famous rosette !!!) and your post gives sense for that.......

It's the cover of a book I brought from Syria, 3 volumes covering notes for many samai, bashraf and other pieces.
There are also recordings coming with the books, not from jabkaji, but manly from music ensemble.
It is a work of Abdulrahman jabkaji, the same oudist who made a method of oud.
N'hesites pas si tu as besoin de temps en temps des notes pour un morceau. Brian Prunka - 1-6-2013 at 07:54 AM
Hey Suzidil! Do you think you could re-post that image of the note names?
thanks!FastForward - 1-6-2013 at 08:36 AM
Here is one in Arabic, tried attaching it but it didn't work. The English translations above should match the indicated notes.
Thanks, FastForward, but I was specifically looking for the circular one . . . David Parfitt - 1-6-2013 at 02:37 PM
Brian, I have this one, but it is poor quality I'm afraid:

I have one somewhere on my computer, it's a scanned file from an album sleeve but I can't remember what album - aargh! Somehow I found a partial bit
of it, but not the whole one. I've attached it here, maybe it will jog someone's memory and they'll tell me what the album is before I go mad with
frustration! (And then I'll be able to post the proper one here, too.)Khalid_Salé - 1-6-2013 at 03:23 PM
