Hi all.. Can someone of the turkish-oriented guys try to explain the seyir of this makam and the differences between hijaz and him??

Hicaz - uses fa#, so lots of Rast taste starting at the 4th degree (re)
Hicaz Humayun - uses fa natural, therefore instead of using Rast, uses Buselik tastes from the 4th degree.
simply compare:
Humayun Pesrev from Veli Dede

For Humayun, something common seems to be if you see the "b natural" this is a taste of Nisabur makam. This pops up in many different compositons in
various makams (Cemil Bey's Ferahfeza Saz Semaisi in 2nd hane...must be borrowed from Humayun?)
Hmmm let's find some more details!
Are there modulations specific to Humayun? I don't know yet...

I'm traveling so I don't have a good book with me to check. I hardly know anything about Nisabur other than...
The karar is B Natural:
(a), B, C#, D, E, F
I don't know beyond F what it does...well I know i have a piece at home, I'll check after the New Year.
Don't worry, it's not a very common makam, I guess older and out of style and you won't find too too many pieces for examples. But it is nice to at
least realize it sits in some pieces and is available to you for some interesting cesni.
