PVF Strings "Recall" Notice

Hank Levin - 3-11-2010 at 10:58 AM

For several months last year, in 2009, we inadvertently sent out some of our MusiCaravan PVF Treble strings that were made of an incorrect material. The way it happened was that we had our usual supplier send the material directly to our manufacturing facility without it going through us (expecting to save some $ on shipping), and they shipped totally wrong stuff. The maker went ahead and packaged it without conferring with us (assuming that the change was our doing), and then these packaged strings got sent out to customers unbeknownst to us, until one finally complained about their lack of longevity. (Our PVF trebles should last through several changes of wound bass strings!)

We've gone over all of our sales records, contacted all the customers we could find who had puchased MusiCaravan PVF treble strings during that time period, and replaced the strings at no charge.

However, so that we know that I've reached everyone involved, we're placing this announcement on MikesOuds.com that anyone who ordered MusiCaravan PVF trebles in 2009 and got red-colored strings (ugh!) will get replacement sets for free if they will contact us at info@musicaravan.com
