I'm looking for this Cd, does anyone got it and/or know where to buy it ?

Hi David,

I (think I) got this from Rashid Sales in New York City. I have listened to it only once or twice...wasn't very impressed, but can't remember exactly why. I will try to go back and listen again and report. I have a vague memory that the quality of playing wasn't very good.

Best,
John

Hi John,

Thanks for your answer, yes this is not incredible virtuosity nor Nagra quality recording ! I won't judge about art because this is subjective but the listening of the Vol. 1 gives to me enough interest to make me want to get the Vol. 2. I've just checked

without any result...

Tell me if you can buy it and if we can make an arrangement. If it's a wast of time for you give it up, I don't set a high value on it. I'm just looking for oldies for my oud discotheque.

I'm not totally sure, but I believe this label is gone from this world, and any copies of anything on it you will find will either be old stock or used. Certainly, if the record label isn't out of business, a goodly portion of their titles are out of print. Calling Rashid on the phone is always better than just checking their web site, IMHO.
good luck!

Yes I think so tchandler, that's why I'm looking for the CD before the whole stock disappear.

I've been stupid to lend "Recital - Mounir Bachir - Solo de luth-oud" ( http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=320696&l=0a68f85897&i... ), because it never come back. Happily I found the original in my mediatheque :)
