Can anyone ID this Ali Khalifeh oud? Is this an older oud, made by Ali Khalifeh, or a newer oud, made by Mawafaq Khalifeh?
Seller is asking for $500.

Hi, that is a Ali Khalifa oud. If you look at the main rosette closely you will see it says علي خليفه

looks an awful lot like the one i have and - prior to having it seen to by a local liutiao - it was no where near a quality oud. the rose appears to

Hi. I inherited an oud from my brother who purchased it from a friend of a friend. He said it was worth a considerable amount and that it was made in
Syria.
I had someone translate the inscriptions inside and was told the oud was built by Ali Khalifeh and Sons in Damascus, Syria, with a date of :
2/6/1976.
The oud is in excellent shape and I am awaiting new strings to put on it.
Anyone have any idea of the worth of this instrument?
It comes in a leather covered hard, somewhat like a guitar chipboard case.
