I was wondering if there would be any interest in an annual oud playing contest to give all us amatures a chance to pit our skills and creativity
against each other and perhaps learn from each other as well. For prizes I was thinking we could either get some donations or the contestants could
all chip into the pot to form a mega prize pack.
The contest would be done in stages: a song, a taqasim, maybe another song, etc. For judges I was wondering if those pros who read the forum would sit
in judgement. Thoughts?
