Nice one Jono.. you play good =) sandranis you can find the notes sheet in Jamil Bashirs oud method book (search for it in the forum) It is titled
"Hijaz intro" good luck =)

I am spending a month just focusing on Hijaz.
Been listening to lots of Syrian music in maqam Hijaz recently, especially Sabah Fakhri and Amer Ammouri. I love the old Wasla style..

The piece is called Fog el Nahal.
It is very similar to Il Hilwa Di, but is from Iraq.

They are very similar.
I am working on Il Hilwa with my Egyptian friend Amina.
I will post an oud recording soon and later a recording with her singing.
Loved the Yurdal video, good filming too
