I received my new Fadi Matta oud today! Created August 2011. Rosewood bowl, fingerboard & pegs, spruce soundboard. The first thing I had to do is
lighten my touch when playing; this instrument is so responsive you don't have to fight to get sound...and what a sound! Very resonant deep and rich.
I still love my Sukar but this Fadi oud is in a completely different league as far as playability, sound and over all construction; well worth the
investment.
Thank you Fadi Matta

Beautiful instrument -- very neat choice of binding around the soundholes, and the rosewood looks so rich -- cool grain matching going from the back
of the neck to the headstock; Fadi's got it all going on there ! Congratulations man.

A sound file ! a sound file ! a sound file ! Zulu - 8-13-2011 at 07:18 AM
I just put on new strings; give them a week to stretch out and then I'll put up a sound file
Good news
I am intrigued since you compared your new Fadi Matta with the Sukar...
I mentioned my Sukar only because it was my main oud before buying this new one. There really is no comparison with the Fadi oud. The Fadi Matta oud
is far superior. Though I am happy to have learned much on the Sukar I will probably not play it much and keep it for its past sentimental value. It
will just be a back up oud now that I have the Fadi oud.littleseb - 8-13-2011 at 12:14 PM

i demand a soundfile ASAP!Zulu - 8-14-2011 at 11:03 AM
That's a gorgeous oud! Congratulations! Is the string length 60 cm?
Yes, it is 60 cm. I will be saving for another oud from Fadi. I'd like one of his floating bridge ouds also. I LOVE the adjustable action; you can set
it exactly how you like it!!!
I am ordering a Kingham case for traveling, it's getting harder to bring bulky items into the plane cabin so I want to make sure it is well
protected. http://kingham.merion.co.uk/katakofka - 9-24-2011 at 03:22 PM
