Hello everyone,
I have been looking for a suitable Oud case, and it seems that I am going to settle for this one.
http://www.amazon.com/Mid-East-OUDH-Oud-Hard-Case/dp/B0009V9X44
It seems to be the most common one on the net anyways, and has great ratings.
Secondly, the description provides that the case measurements are as follows:
"Inside dimensions : The case is 33.75" L x 16.75" wide and 9" deep. The neck section 13" in length and the body section is 21" in length. "
I was wondering if anyone could provide insight as to where/how exactly do I measure my oud? And if anyone else has this Oud case, does your
Arabic/Egyptian Oud fit in it?
I don't know if this is any help, but here's two quick views of my Oud. I just want to make sure I don't buy a case that doesn't fit.

I bought one of those a while back, and it is made of vinyl-covered cardboard stitched together, and as soon as I found a decent hardshell case (used,
from Wael Kakish) I jettitsoned the cardboard monstrosity as quickly as I could, since the cardboard case was already falling apart, and held together
with gaffer's tape - after only a year of use.
I will say it is better than no case, but not by much...
