The Turquoise oud

bulerias1981 - 2-22-2012 at 10:56 AM

Hello all. I am selling an oud that I finished this week. I can't continue to make ouds and keep my work as I can't afford my own work.

I dubbed this project The 'Turquoise' because I came up with the idea of using turquoise as part of the ornamentation. In this oud, the bridge and the pegbox cap has it.

Please wait a few days for video. I'm waiting for the strings to settle.

E-mail me for price or any questions (bulerias81@gmail)

very nice John, I like the idea of using turquoise. whats the width of the nut? regards MW

Beautiful. Good traditional color combo turquoise & burnt sienna, like lapis and gold. Would love to see more turquoise to tie it together, maybe around the rosette in place of that light material?

And i though i had already posted and was hallucinating .. nating ... nating

how about a turquoise beard inlay at the neck joint into the ebony fingerboard?
