Beautiful Instruments!!! Did he learn from Ostad Arafati? He has the same pear-shaped Barbats. Recently fernandreynaud has mentioned Sukar and Fadi Matta as the only luthiers to include a truss-rod with the advantage of lowering the action, but forgot to mention Ghorbanzade!!! Can't wait to see more.

the pear shaped ouds are made by Kave Ghorbanzade, his brother. they both has taken some guides from Ustad Arafati.
both of them use adjustable necks, the system works very fine, plus you will have the lovely Shams and it's less visible than Fadi Matta.
more pics will be uploaded soon.

I see, will they not both use one website? I think that Kave's pear-shaped Ouds look nicer than the Arafati (not meaning to dis-respect a master) they don't have that dark wooden join where the neck meets the body. This has always been something which put me off the Arafati Barbats.

it's not "their" pear-shaped ouds. pear-shaped ones are made by Kave while standards are made by Hamid.
