Turkish Oud for Sale

Hank Levin - 10-19-2012 at 02:47 PM

This Turkish oud is an excellent serious beginner or intermediate instrument. Standard length ebony fingerboard, ebony pegs, two-toned mahogany back and Turkish spruce top. This Saddetin Sandi instrument was carefully selected from many by a professional musician in Turkey's State Ensemble. The workmanship is meticulous, the purfling between ribs, on the neck and head is white-black-white. The sound is surprisingly loud and clear for this price range, and the volume is even throughout its range. A new instrument, the sound is exquisite---and will only get better!

I have not yet placed this instrument on my website---I thought I'd give you Mike's Oud guys a crack at it first. Asking price is $1100. I am in the San Francisco area. Email me at hank@musicaravan.com, or call me at 415-492-0728.

I've made some recordings of it, along with photos. You should be able to check it out in its different ranges. (My apologies for the musicianship.)
