Question for the Oud conosseurs

Does anyone know who mad Abdel Wahab's ouds? I have not seen or heard anyone mention him or his ouds? He always played that one that seems like it is a big eye. Just wondering. And also El Sunbaty's Ouds?

Don't know about Abdelwahab, but Sunbaty had only 3 ouds during his life, one is of his late father Mohammad Al Sunbaty, who was a great musician in his time, made somewhen in the 19th century, the other is that Riad ordered himself when he became an accomplished musician and tutor, while the third is another one he used to leave at Um Kolthoum's house for rehearsals.
All three of them were made by the legendary Egyptian maker Ibrahim Khalil Al Gohary (or Khalil Ibrahim Al Gohary !).
I looked the name up in the net in both languages : NOT A SINGLE WORD !
How ignorant we all are !

All three of them were well kept by his son Ahmad Al Sunbaty till he passed away last year. Now we don't really know what happened to those jewls. Hope the family keeps the ouds, by which some of the greatest Egyptian musical projects have been composed.

Yours indeed

Isn't the oud in the video made my Mohammad Fadel?

NO, absolutely not !

This is not one of them. This is a Fadel's oud, like hamed pointed out. As much as I know, Riad's ouds weren't filmed, and he used to keep away from the media. This interview in Kuwait's TV was the only one he'd let, just before he passed away in 1981.

Hah. I always thought it sounded different than his usual tone but was never sure.
