for those who might not know them, magnatune.com offers a huge, excellent selection of music from their stable of recording artists that you can
download on cd.
of special interest to me is the european medieval and renaissance music they have on offer - some of which features oud played in a non-arabic manner
- "the dufay collective" in particular
they also have an ethnic selection which may be of interest to you.
the recording company makes a big deal out of "not being the enemy" by splitting the purchase price of the cd equally with the artists.
they also have an on-line radio service.
