I do not write scores at this time but tell me what you think.

I can't find the pushbutton for triplets, anything else?

It may be better to understand what it is with a video:

Musiqa Me Community. How to signup and create a music score for free.

*March 13th : Supporting triplets and sextuplets
*March 20th : Tempo modification when playing melody
*March 27th : Supporting multiple meters and key signatures on the same music sheet
*April 10th : Supporting chords

And what about a space to write the rhythm/ouasn?

musiqame - 3-11-2013 at 01:05 AM

Thanks David for sharing information about the platform.
Thanks again for your suggestion about mentioning the rythm.
Even if it won't be the priority, we will work to add the rythm property to the scores, it will be in the same level as the compositor or the maqam (i.e : it won't be printed on the music sheet).

David.B - 3-11-2013 at 01:29 AM

Good news :)

Jack_Campin - 3-12-2013 at 04:09 AM

I can't work out what it's for.

You can't generate a normal-looking printable score that way, so why?...

musiqame - 3-12-2013 at 04:33 AM

Hi Jack,
I didn't understand your question/issue. Could you be more clearer ?
Have you found problems creating a new music score ?

musiqame - 3-22-2013 at 01:34 AM

Please, have anyone encountered a similar issue, or could explain what is going wrong ?

David.B - 3-22-2013 at 02:13 AM

- To me it crashes Firefox when I try to see a score on Mac OS X 10.6.8 :

Attention : le script ne répond pas
Un script sur cette page est peut-être occupé ou ne répond plus. Vous pouvez arrêter le script maintenant ou attendre pour voir si le script se terminera.
Script : http://www.musiqame.com/bundles/musiqa/canvg-min.js:1

But it works fine with Safari.

- On Mac OS X Server Lion 10.7.5 Firefox doesn't crash, I can print, but I can't play the score. It works fine with Safari.

David.B - 3-22-2013 at 02:17 AM

I printed http://musiqame.com/score/73 but the top of the second page appears on the bottom of the first.

> some of the sound samples seems to be poorly trimmed at the start and they'll give a delay when score is played. e.g. the b flat in the main octave. so it makes a shuffle rhythm when the rhythm should be actually straight.

> most scores are to big horizontally so they do not fit in the window and you have to scroll to see the whole score.

tested with chrome browser.

anyway - nice project. could be a big step forward for us!

musiqame - 3-22-2013 at 07:45 AM

@David B : Our support will take a look at your Firefox issues in the next few days.
When printing, the score is rendered as an image, if it happens that a line is divided between two pages, We advice to configure your paper margins (on the browser printing dialog) to make the line fit fully on the first (or the second) page.

@ultragroove : Thanks for your report on the sound samples.
Regarding the horizontal size, this is only dependent on the size that the contributor (web site user) of the music sheet has determined.

Hi again,
Just to share some information.
Our dev team was focused on the road map, that's why, it's just now that we will focus on the firefox playback problem.
The issue will be resolved tomorrow.
We also plan to record another set of sound samples in middle April.

I'm thinking about an open writing project. I mean I write a score by ear and the other users have the possibility to modify it like a work in progress, is that possible?

Also I'm wondering about copyrights...

David.B - 3-30-2013 at 06:38 AM

Upon reflection I think it would be a mess. Otherwise I was thinking of a way to begin to write from an existing score or the possibility to copy and paste.

musiqame - 4-1-2013 at 05:51 AM

Hi,
Actually, we don't plan to support collaboration between users upon a single music sheet. Only the author of the score can save modifications made on it.
We could study the possibility of "cloning" a score to begin a new one.
What issues do you think of about copyrights ?

musiqame - 4-1-2013 at 06:01 AM

Please note that there is a workaround to copy/paste a music sheet, using the ABC editing tool.

David.B - 4-1-2013 at 12:53 PM

The "cloning" solution would be a plus for me.

Thanks for the tip, and for asking our preferences.
