possibility of price of ouds inflating?

Hey do you guys think its a good or bad time to buy an oud from international places because of the weak standing of the dollar. I live in the U.S.

I am certainly not an expert, but it seems to me that nobody can predict the future, so if there is an oud that you really want, you should get it. First, because an oud is still an incredible bargain when you consider how much labor goes into it. Second, because it might take years for the dollar's value to change significantly, and it just does not seem like it would be worth the wait.
That being said, though, does it seems as though ouds are becoming more expensive? I am not talking just about Iraqi ouds, but all ouds.

In my experience the great older ouds by famous makers have become much more expensive. I've owned Abdo and Hanna Nahhat ouds, and a Manol oud, over the years, and they were purchased for between one and six thousand dollars from fifteen to eight years ago. You can't do that today, I think.

I think you can still get some Monols at the upper end of that range, although they may not be by Monol himself.
