I've designed some beginner Oud lessons for Guitar players or anyone with a basic western musical background. These lessons help people with a western
musical background gain a solid introduction to the Oud and Middle Eastern music in general. It presents both Arabic and Persian styles.
I created these lessons based on my own experience learning the Oud. You can quickly and easily learn how to play quartertones, understand the use of
different tunings, and an introduction to how maqams and dastgah work, explained from a western perspective. The videos provide a player's view
perspective as well.
