My transcription:
(I decided to write out the long value of some notes rather that Ali Ufki's embellishments).

Ali Ufki (page 115):

Ensemble Al Kindi do not play the second and third khanat.
The taqsim over part of the taslim is very effective though.:applause:

This version is from Demetrie Cantemir's notations.
It is double timed here - interesting.

thanks so much

is this piece on "Parfumes Ottomanes" album??

Jono Oud N.Z - 4-26-2014 at 02:48 PM

Hey:)

None of the pieces are on the 2006 Parfums Ottoman album.
I was (am) hoping that Al Kindi would do another album of the early Ottoman music.

This concert is the closest so far.

Beautiful concert, although I definitely miss Muhammad Qadri Dalal, Aiad Qadi Amin and Adel Shams El-Din.
