This seller won't answer any questions. Not a good sign, IMO. The oud looks like it needs a lot of work. After purchase price +$2000 in fixes it may be a good instrument. Many Nahats are outstanding, but some are duds . . . but I'm sure someone will take the chance, possibly a luthier with the capacity to restore it.

I agree Mavrothis. Not the sort of workmanship one would expect. I'm also at a loss to understand how the ivory on the fingerboard could have worn away to that extent. Our 1912 Nahat has heavily grooved ivory from 100 years of playing, but no sign of the wood grinning through from beneath.

in the '40 the fingerboards were plastic, not ivory. Your 1912 was probably never ivory but rather bone. The GN fingerboard was most likely sanded down through the plastic.
