Fathy Amin is not dead

hello oud lovers , I wanted to catch your attention with the sujbect hehe, as we all know unfortunately Fathy is dead but his soul is still alive ,, Mahmoud Mostafa , he was Fathy's student for 30 years, and now he is actually working alone in the famous old workshop of Fathy in Saida Aisha area, he produces the outstanding and distinctive oriental deep sound of his master,


here are some photos of my new oud build by him , it is a

*fine AAA spruce soundboard

*Mahogany / Togolese yellow Teak bowl (both are more than 100 years old) ,

*ebony on Mapple fingerboard

* ebony pegs,

*strings aquila light (thanks god the set is perfect)

Mahmoud made all Fathy's ouds for the last 20 years or so.
Therefore I tend to believe this's true. He's capable of making the same ouds he used to make, while his late master smoked nargila in the nearby cafe'.
RIP Fathy Amin. We have a saying that goes like: mention only good things about those who have passed away.
