In Manhattan, contact Najib Shaheen, who always has a variety of ouds, some vintage, some more contemporary, many of them significantly rebuilt by

If you have time to travel north of NYC, visit John Vergara's shop in Beacon, Lord of the Strings. John has a number of his own exquisitely crafted,
