Electric oud with ebow, it works !

Hi friends
Does somebody try to play electric oud with an ebow using special nylon string with heart steel ? I don t know if it is work ...

I don't see how it would be possible as the oud strings are in a level plane with no radius.

Ebow uses a magnet, it's not an actual bow like a violin.
But you need iron content in the strings., I don't see how you'd do this on oud.

Maybe Aquila's red strings would work . . . or some other kind of 'loaded' plastic, using iron filings. I doubt you'd get enough iron to work well though.

I already tested ebow on a basic folk guitar, without magnet. The sustain wasn't loud but it works. That is why i believe a little !

Trust me, i will try it with special string ;)
