I have tried recently 3 ouds made by Ali Kalifa.....I was simply impressed with the quality, finishing and sound.
I decided to order an oud from him and I am happy to share the photos with you.
Dealing with Ali is very convenient. He is a nice person, accurate and precise with regards to timliness. The prices of his ouds are very reasonable
compared to the quality he gives in return. He is flexible. He tries his best to satisfy the expectations of his customers.

the quality of making seems in the style of his (brother ?) Zaher.
Did you feel it very different in terms of sound ?

Actually Zaher is Ali' cousin.
Regarding sound...Ali's ouds sound less metallic if you understand what I mean
