Qasabji's taqasims

PaulS - 5-10-2016 at 01:01 AM

A question I asked yesterday seems to have disappeared...so again can anyone point me in the direction of any recording, YouTube videos etc of any of Qasabji's taqasims? Thanks

I tried emailing them to order the CD but have had no response. Did anyone else get a response to an enquiry in English, or is it necessary to write it in French or Arabic??

Many thanks

David

David, I wrote to them as well. It take time to get an answer. They reply though.
Unless you are located in Lebanon, I recommend you get it from Amazon.
I got it just yesterday, and Im very happy about it. Though I was hoping to recordings to be a bit "studio cleaned". But no, nothing like that.

I got the two volumes as a download from Amazon for a low price and no cost for shipping either. I have ordered CDs directly from Amar Foundation before and always got a friendly timely email response in English. This time I could hear samples on Amazon and since the originals are not in great shape I opted for MP3 instead of CD. Of course I don't get the excellent liner notes and photos. However I do think that the sound quality is better than other versions that I have of Qassabji recordings, including ones that are available right here on "Mike Ouds". check it out and see what you think.

Thanks for the advice guys - an Amazon download does sound like a much easier and cheaper option.

All the best
