In case anyone has any ouds with removed or severely damaged faces they want to sell, I'm looking for a nice oud back that I can get a new face put
on. U2U me with info and dimensions. I'm primarily looking for shallower backs but will consider anything.

I have a wonderful old oud from the sixties I believe, I can't read Arabic so I can find out from a friend. Its back is made from a rare ebony that
is quite expensive. I had the face fixed up and I put pyramid lute strings on it. The scale 62cm and it is a really wonderful sounding oud as is but
I had bought with the purpose of putting a new face on it. Now I have many ouds and I was just going to sell it to clear some space. Is this
something you would be interested in and also where ae ou located?

I have included pictures of the oud. It is quite difficult to get a picture of the label but i did the best i could. The scale is about 62 cm if you
need more dimensions let me know. Also the oud has a pickup in it that sounds pretty good.

well here are the dimensions to the best of my ability in cm I am not sure if they are 100% precise as I wasn't sure where the best place to measure
these dimension were on the oud but here they are
the length of the sound board to the neck joint is: 52cm
the width from the widest part is: 38cm
The depth seems to be: 21.59 cm
the neck length from the where the neck meets the body to the end of the neck is 21 cm
the scale of the strings from the bridge to the nut is a little over 62 cm

I have the same interest. Not easy to find for a good price. Did you think of buying a middle range Turkish oud ?
I get to think of this option, there are regular offers on the web. I was happy with the Sandi Oud kit but seems he doesnt propose it anymore

Hi,
I have an oud I was planning on working on myself, but I think honestly I won't have time. It has a shallow bowl for sure, and should be around 58.5cm
string length.
Please note, the rosettes and fingerboard have been removed. I have an ebony fingerboard blank that can come with this oud and can certainly be fit to
it.
