Hi there,
Anybody could tell me hoe to get roosebeck hardcase...or any other high qualty for big ouds....which cannot fit in the tirkish high quality hardcases?
Any European manufacturer or webshop?

I bought a hard case from these folks:

While not a perfect fit, my Shehata fits just fine... had to use a piece of foam to support the neck and a thin piece to protect the pegbox.

Hello,

I offer custom made hard cases for oud and any other instruments in my shop. Have a look here:

After having cases from Germany for over 25 year, I was sad that this factory finished some time ago. But I found the above solution. That are wooden cases with black cover and a plush interiour. The cases are made especially for every single instrument. So it fits verry well. The weight is a bit less than 4 Kg. I have been travelling several times with them and had them also in the cabin in the luggage box.

Those are nice cases... had I known about your cases, I would have seriously considered one of these...

I may still consider buying one for the 'custom' fit...

After a lot of research, I decided to go with Gocauo recommendation (Handmade Strings). And, so far so good.

Their customer service is excellent nad their price is affordable compared to custom made cases. Of course, it's not going to be the same quality.

Hi,

Quick update, I got the case, and it's in excellent shape, and the quality seems very good. The bad news is, my Oud did not fit in the case

They seem open to returning the case and getting a different one, but I will try to see if I can see this here instead of shipping the thing back.

Anyways, I just wanted to say that these guys are very responsive and they have excellent customer service.

I had ordered their fiberglass case... I am very sorry to hear the case you ordered from them did not fit your oud!
