Yes, that *is* a beautiful oud. If by "front plate" you mean the soundboard, that straight grain wood top does not resemble any maple wood I have seen. Are you sure about that?

I agree that it looks like cedar. I was saying it did not look like maple.

I trust they are correct. It looks like Cedar to me and is the typical colour of Cedar wood also. The Oud is their Premium1 quality.

Yes it is Cedar top.

The bowl is 65cm circumfrance (from one side of front to the other at the most arched area)
face length is53cm
width 38cm
from nut to bridge 60cm
