I have one of his ouds. It's a really nice floating bridge oud, construction wise flawless. You may want to share a sound clip.

Hi Sam,

I saw your post is still up for this. I am curious is you have closer photos of the pick guard. Is it a transparent laminate or what is it? It reminds me a little of the Mohammadi barbat pick guard.

Pickguard is llike the one thats used on flamenco guitars its also the same pickguard thats used on nassser shamma's oud .

The oud is still available for sale.

Damn. Came to visit this forum 2 days late, looking for an inexpensive 7 course floating as well. Sam, do you have anything else along those lines?

Hi,

Just wanted to say I received this oud a few days ago, and have been enjoying it.

I've been very curious about the Iraqi-style floating bridge ouds ever since I first heard/saw one many years ago, and I'm glad I could get this one for a good price. It is a solid instrument that sounds nice and plays easily up and down the fingerboard. Pretty balanced across the strings.

Perhaps b/c I'm used to more traditional oud bridges, I put some foam behind this bridge under the treble courses to dampen some unwanted overtones those strings were producing.

Thanks Sam! Definitely enjoying this instrument.
