Hi, has anyone tried to pour fill the sound board with pumice before French polishing, if so, any effect on the overall sound of the oud?

I don't think this would be a good idea. Quartered spruce doesn't really have pores to fill. You can achieve a glass like surface without using any
pore filler. It's mostly a practice for hardwoods like rosewood which can have relatively deep pores.
