Hello Verona
I just bought a set of Kurschner strings. They were recommended by professionals without reservations.
Excellent balance of sound with an excellent C3 string.
They hold the tunning well already from the 3rd day.
On the other hand the sound is not really mellow, I hope it will get soon.

Im curious about others advices

Hello Verona
I just saw in the OUD FAQ THREAD http://www.mikeouds.com/messageboard/viewthread.php?tid=6809
a review about Daniel Mari in https://ostriemusicsupplies.com/oud-strings.htm
It seems to answer your question.

Im' surprised we don't have a special String corner on this forum

I'm rethinking strings as well these days... Happy with Aquila but I can't figure out now how to configure for a 7 course with their recent formulation change... I can't find a high f for the 13o set or a low C for the 61o set.
What's a good source for Kurshner that could advise on a 7 course setup?
Any other recommendations? Looking for good sustain and a haunting tone as I do a lot if Turkish style work even though I'm on a 7 course floating bridge oud:)
