I asked Yarob Fadhel and he denied the oud being his.

Also FYI I asked him about the Fadel oud listed on ebay, which he says is fake; as his father "never built a bowl with 5 ribs".

With all due respect to Yarob, he's being less than conscientious in his response. That oud clearly has many more than 5 ribs (I count 17 at least), and it looks to be authentic. I don't know what his agenda is.
