Syrian Refugees and Oud

I was searching for a closer syrian oud sound, and i think i have found the most genuine in this clip...

I thought this video and documentary was amazing to watch, if you haven't seen yet, lots of beautiful heartfelt OUD:

What i love about this video is that clearly, the singer has much more words written in front of him, but can only get 3 lines out due to emotion. I have watched this so many times now. It really is amazing.

Syria

I was in Syria this summer for 5 weeks visiting my village which is located about a half hour drive from Homs. While there in addition to areas close to my village, I visited Homs, Tartus and Damascus. Despite seing some destruction from the war, most the areas I saw were intact busy and thriving. Even the areas effected are being cleaned up and rebuilding is underway. Every person I came into contact with including security and military personnel were nice and polite. I bought 5 Ouds from Damascus while there. 4 from Zeryab and one from Hussein Sabsaby. I hope to return this coming summer with my wife and children.

God bless Syria!
