Dear members,
I remember seeing a video, either in the forumd or in YouTube, explaing how to cot a tail block using bandsaw, drilling a centre in a wooden block,
passing a metal shaft in the drilled hole, the shaft is in an inclined angle, so that the wooden block could turn in a swivel manner in an inclined
plane while the vertical band saw cuts. The result is a conical shape, if cut into two halves, it could make two tail blocks.
I would be grateful if someone guides me to the video.

i dont have machine tools, so not used to process wood with those.
But i think bandsaw with inclinable table should make the job no ? I mean cutting the block giving to it an angle of 45° should make the job.
Not sure, but maybe a track to find the way to do it

I used a peace of 2x4 Pine for the neck block, and i use a band saw with the plate pivoted to 45 degree. But since the angle on the neck block is a
bit smaller than 45 degree, you will end up with almost 1 cm or less towards the neck part.
you can chisel the rest and sand it to shape

You'll never get it perfect with a bandsaw, and it'll need some clean-up anyway. I cut mine by hand in 'sections', so the inside end fits the angles
of each rib better.
