With some courses and festivals slowly opening up again in my home country, I started wondering if any Arabic or other modal music courses, workshops
or festivals will start to be held "in person" again with physical gatherings during 2021?
I'm based in Europe so mostly interested in local events in Europe, North Africa or Turkey, but might be interesting for other forum members to list
events that are being held elsewhere like North America.
I tried to search for events, but it's hit or miss. Some things I've found:
- The Oriental Music Summer Academy in Germany seems to not be running at all? Web site is down.
- Labyrinth in Crete seems to be running some limited workshops in person? But most course are being held online.
- Simon Shaheen's Arabic Music Retreat is completely online this year.
What other courses and events are happening this year?
