Anouar Brahem Sheet Music

Brian Prunka - 1-13-2022 at 07:16 PM

Forum member OudSwede recently had asked for the music to Anouar Brahem's "Astounding Eyes of Rita," which inspired me to transcribe it. It got me thinking about all the music I've learned by Brahem, he was one of the first oud players I really listened to back when I started playing.

I thought some other people might be interested and decided to share some of the transcriptions I've done over the years over on my website. Some of these are not commonly played, but they are all pieces that I found compelling in one way or another.

Here's "Qurb", which is vaguely related to a sama'i:

There are others if you look through the rest of the posts - Parfum de Gitan, Lecon du Oud so far and I'll be posting some more there. Next is probably Conte De L'Incroyable Amour.

You're welcome, glad some people are finding it useful . . . haven't been able to add much recently but trying to get back to it.
