Very nice JC, I'm really impressed. Is your oud connected directly to your computer when you recorded that? How are you getting such a clear sound?JC1907 - 7-8-2006 at 12:00 PM
Actually, no.
Ud is connected to a small amplifier. I didn't use any special equipment. I recorded this with a logitech webcam. Including sound and video. Seems
like it worked out fine. I should have lowered the microphone volume little bit more to avoid the buzz..(next time I guess)Mike - 7-8-2006 at 03:36 PM
JC, that was awesome bud. Can't wait for the "next time". JC1907 - 7-8-2006 at 04:10 PM
Mike,
I am glad to hear you liked it... I'll record more.. I have been playing the oud for about 18 years now. I like the community on this website and I
want to be more active hopefully..

Sorry about the slight buzzing on some parts. Will fix it.
If I could play as good and even produce a lot more buzzing then I will be the happiest man in this forums.
Keep posting more of this good playing mate.

Enjoyed it very much. Who is the maker of your oud?JC1907 - 7-10-2006 at 06:36 PM
Andy,
I purchased this oud in 1999 in Istanbul from a luthier named Ozgur. My oud instructor Osman Nuri Ozpekel recommended him. I have been very happy with
this instrument. It's easy to play and tone is nice. I would like to sell it sometime and get an electric oud since I play on stage a lot and electric
oud is more practical.
Thanks for nice comments

That's a beautiful taksim John. Nice oud too. But I think your playing is what makes the oud sound good.
Thanks for sharing.
