hi,
a friend of mine thinks of buying an oud and she is right now in israel. she asks what would be a good place to buy an oud in israel or palestine
(occupied territories), say ramallah?
anyone has any ideas?

Samer totah is an oud maker and musician who learned to build ouds under furuk turunz of Turkey. He is in Ramallah
There are a couple of guys in or near Nazareth.
They are abu alla
kamil mwez
hatem joubran.
I can try to get you in contact with samer totah in ramallah. I have not heard his ouds but issa boulos who is a teacher here in the united states
says they are very good. and I know furk turnz is an awsome makers o he learned from one of the best.

i heard abu alla oud twice and kamil oud.
they both sound great but i liked abu alla more.

abu alla is the best oud maker in israel and one of the graet oud makers in the world.
i have an abu alla oud and it deserved any money he aksed for.
