This is a track recorded by a new oud dude named Steve Byrd. He has just started playing the oud after many years with the guitar.

Wow Mike,speedy posting,thank you.
Once I get the tuning accurate I'm going to really enjoy playing oud.
I had a problem with it sliding off my lap,I put some velcro on which helps.
Is there any other way ,or do you just get used to the bowl shape?

I'm new to the oud myself, but let me tell you that sounds great. I hate it when the oud slips off my lap too.
