Do you know who Freed Al-Atrash is and where he is from? I randomly bought a CD of his music in a market in Jerusalem and would like to know more
about him.

Long story short. he is the most revered player, musician and actor in the arab world. among these forums he is admired for his oud playing but he
did all kinds of music and acting.
Born in syria, raised in egypt which is also where he had his career. While arabs can diagree about many things withinin our society. when it comes
to people like fareed el atrash we all can agree that he was a magical person. search wikipidia for more info.
