corridoio - 7-16-2007 at 12:11 PM

I know that here in the oud community everyone is glad to look to beautiful instruments, so, with a little delay I post some photos of the oud I bought from Ghadban in may
We talk for 2 weeks by mail, deciding every detail, than in a month I had my oud
I can only be grateful to Nazih for his work, the result and the way to reach it..
ale.

congradulations its beautiful
what is the wood used to make it?

but that picture of the bowl against the brick made my heart jump!
I just hope you put a peice of cloth to protect the finish or something.

can we hear it? :)

!!!

corridoio - 7-16-2007 at 01:39 PM

obvious! there was a tape in every point where the oud may touch the bricks..
Maybe I'm "a little" crazy.. not so crazy!!!

SamirCanada - 7-16-2007 at 01:41 PM

Ahhh! exellent special effects!

it really scared me like a horror movie with good effects :P

corridoio - 7-16-2007 at 01:45 PM

Elias - 7-16-2007 at 01:49 PM

That rosette is amazing. Does Nazih do it by hand or with a saw?

Jameel - 7-16-2007 at 03:59 PM

Nice walnut, nice pics, nice oud all around. Thanks for sharing.

Jason, 99% sure Nazih is having his roses laser cut. See the burnt edge?

Cyberquills - 7-16-2007 at 04:25 PM

Nazih's work is truly magical. Pluck long and prosper!

Ah, yeah I see that now that you mention it. How does that work, do you put the pattern on a computer and the machine automatically does it? That would be pretty cool
