I've got way too many ouds at the moment with more on the way. A few have to go.
Here's some pertinent info
-1974 Ali Khalifa, plastic rosettes but reasonable looking
- Repegged with boxwood bushings, not perfect but tunes very smoothly with nice small diameter violin pegs.
- Marcata nut - creaks a bit but but is easy on the strings
- Peghead was loose when I got it but I reglued it and put a few carbon fibre pins in for good measure - quite solid now.
- One crack in lower back of the bowl (I can email larger photos if interested) reglued and stable.
- One repaired crack in the veneer on back of peghead.
- Action is 3-4mm on the high C where the neck joins the body with no string buzz.
- Top has no cracks or dings
- Very strong sound with good bass. I'll try to get a soundfile up later this week.
Price is $350 + actual shipping anywhere in the lower 48 states.
