wow- looks like it's played almost like a cello, or the large bass guitar they use in Mexican Mariachi bands! cjmichael - 3-10-2008 at 04:49 PM
This has been posted here before. Everybody made fun of the bass oud but I kinda like it.Oud Freak - 3-11-2008 at 03:30 AM
I think it is better to listen to the beautiful tune composed by Mr. Andre Hajj, called "el masa2" instead of making fun about the bass oud, made by
our friend Nazih Ghadban.MatthewW - 3-11-2008 at 05:24 AM

Hi oud freak and CJ, I don't think anyone is making fun of this large oud, just commenting on it's unique size!Arto - 3-11-2008 at 10:38 AM
Bass oud type instrument called sehrud is common in old Turkish pictures from 16-17th century. Bezmara ensemble uses one. I suppose it can be seen in
the several YouTube clips by Bezmara, but I´m not sure it can be heard out of the general ensemble sound.
