i've never seen Naseer playing palestinian heritage in concert , i think that you can only find it in meditation CD ...

yes, nice collection of Naseer clips! In 'Khanabat scale' he does a nice trick- about 45 seconds into the recording, notice how he reaches over and plucks his lowest string with one of the fingers on his left hand and then carries on playing.

That's right , he does it in many videos ...
Munir Bashir did it very well too ...
I want to mention that Khanabat scale is a rare and useless "maqam" , it's a Nahawand-Beyat combination ...

hi,
i was searching information on maqam khanabat, and i found this post. could someone explain more about this iraqi maqam? i wasn't able to find explanation on the web and the recordings are confusing (to my ears). would be very grateful if someone can help me understand how this maqam works.
