I was playing with a friend's Ovation guitar and was thinking to myself, I wonder what an oud would sound like with a fiberglass/resin bowl (like on
the Ovation guitars). That would enable one to have a smaller bowl, allowing for some of our arms to get around the bigger bowl size and allow for an
acoustic/electric style oud. I know there are flatback ouds, but have any of you ever heard of something like this?
