Thanks !!! Anouar is one of my favourite musicians on any instrument, not to diminish Ali Sriti's performance in any way. Here is another clip of Anouar playing solo.

Anouar Brahem is one of my favourite players, but I thought he played not very good in this clip. The dynamic was bland, it lacked energy and it bored me.

very cool, too bad the sound quality isn't a little better.
I wonder what Ali Sritis relationship with Farid Ghosn was, their playing styles are very similar. I enjoyed this clip very much, thanks for posting it.

Hamed: the music played, Night of Andalusia, is composed by Farid Ghosn. Sirti and many others of that period where influcenced by Farid Ghosn.

thanks katakofka, I'm familiar with the piece, I guess my real question was if Ali Sriti was ever a student of Farid Ghosn.
Thanks again

Not sure about that Hamed. Actually I don't know much about Sirti. However, in Tunisia, as you know, they like the flamenco or the spanish style. You hear the spanish style in many traditional tunisian song. Thus, I no wonder if Farid Ghosn has influenced oudists in Tunisia.
