Oud-man, if you believed this to be a Sukar oud, then the identical oud you played on Youtube must have also been a Sukar. Why then did you put
it on Youtube as a Khalifa oud? (which both ouds clearly are)
Mikes Oud Forums is not eBay. The peole who frequent these forums know a great deal about ouds. Most forum members own one or more high quality
instruments. They can recognise a poor quality "tourist" oud from a mile away. You would do well to remember that when listing your instruments for

Be carefull, this is not sukkar oud at all, its so fake, I have visited sukkar many times and I know his ouds very well.
I bought this oud, as professional and new. Paid 200GPB via paypal + 50 euros shipping. What I've receive? a horrible thing, a work of carpenter: poor
quality, for decoration, bad sound , rosettes plastic, and the best: the box pegs is broken and restuck (see the pictures, behind the nek we can see
the split). I proposed a friendly solution to him : here's his answer :

it is not coincedent, Oud_man on this forum is the same guy as 123saif on ebay, he travels regularly to syria, brings fake cheap ouds and sells them
as branded ouds,his ID has been revealed on this forum and hasnt been participating since.
recently he has been using another seller on ebay called ( Ashraf_Mahdi ) to sell his ouds becasue he has tried to cone afew people afew times and
been found out ,please be aware of both sellers .

About the oud that he sold to me, he said that he bought it bought it on Mike's Oud and that he paid it 700 dollars! Why he sold it, after only 2

Speaking as someone who recently bought a lovely s/h oud from a genuine subscriber to this forum, this incident has brought home to me how careful one
has to be when making a purchase of this kind - especially when one knows so very little of the "ins-and-outs" of the oud as an instrument. This
forum was and is an invaluable source of information; abuse of it is unforgivable.
The oud I bought was advertised as having been made by Mr Michael Moussa. I sent Mr Moussa the photo of the oud & he got back to me very fast to
confirm that he was indeed the maker. Not only that, I advised the seller that I was contacting the maker - and he had no prolem with me checking
the provenance of the instrument. What genuine seller would?

This goes to show how careful one has to be, there are a lot of crappy instruments out there and it seems no shortage of unscupulous people willing to
