Hi Lazzaro,
Nice oud and nice music.
How was this music perceived in Egypt?
Do you intend to repeat that?
Would you consider a bigger band in the future?
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Hatem the audience liked my music, for the future I want add a percussionist in this project and create new ones. Maurica Shehata lent me the oud for this concert couse I had brought with me only my guitar.
thanks ciao Maurizio

Ciao Maurizio- congratulations on playing oud in Cairo...and in a jazz idiom as well! You have a great touch with playing oud in this non-traditional style and making it work- which isn't easy. What tuning(s) do you use for jazz oud? MW

Lazzaro - 9-29-2008 at 12:09 AM

Thanks to all for your words. I use this tuning E A D G C F. I want share also this photo, Ghassan Al-yousif, Maurice Shehata with a Nahat (1929) and me.

Bravo Maurizio!Fai onore a tutti noi oud players romani...
Ma adesso che sei diventato famoso anche come oudman me lo concederai il piacere di una jam session a tu per tu?
Spero di sentirti presto,Giuseppe.
