I missed a good documentary on TV last night about the history of the Guitar, and I heard that it shows quite a bit about the Oud, but luckily, BBC
has a function that allows you to watch it online afterwards. 
I don't think it works for people outside Britian, but you could try. Just thought I might point it out if anyone is bored and wants to watch it! I'm
watching it right now...

You're right, I live in the U.S., and I couldn't get it to work. You get a message that says their TV programs are only viewable in the U.K. But
thanks for letting us know about it. Sometimes U.S. public television stations air things from BBC, so I'll keep an eye out for it.
