Hi all,
a few weeks ago I find a youtube-link here called arab oud dance
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=0pYlRhE2AP4
now i find another one on youtube
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=6R7JZbydqVk
and,for me, it sounds very simular in some parts.
Is this a traditional song in different playing or did he just "stole"
a bit from the other one?
Does anybody know other versions?
thanx

Marcus,
I'm not sure if the first one is a song or just a traditional dance, but at the end of the YouTube clip the host says to the oud player: "Nicola
Nakhle, thank you".
So you might want to search for this artist: Nicola (or Nicolas) Nakhle

wsb3383,
thanx for the reply.
I googled abit, there is another guy with the same name. He is a singer from Libanon, I think.
Even if it is just a traditional dance it should have a name,or?
However, Ill keep on surching.........
Greetings from south germany, and how we say,
I wish you a good slip in the new year!!

Hi,
I've seen that clip before on YouTube. It makes me cringe.
You should hear this recording of Nicolas Nakhle: http://www.arabymusic.com/search_result.asp?CATEGORY=Nicolas+Nakhle
