if you tune a turkish oud to arabic does it make a differ or will it sound better with turkish tuning

Hi,
you can experiment with arabic tunings on a turkish oud, but not the other way around. the turkish ouds often sound great tuned down, but i prefer
the brighter quality you get when they are tuned normally.
try out what works best for you, we all have different tastes.
